Considering a new Porta-bote 8 or 10 foot

I've been looking to buy a new Porta-bote and like both the 8 and 10 foot models. I've seen a few posts here about issues with them and not sure if they have serious problems after a few years or the issues have ben resolved. Anyone have experience good or bad with these boats? The concept seems like a great idea if it works!

Only used one once, friend had one and invited me to go along for a test run. Way to complicated, unstable feeling, give me a small tinnie anyday...just my two cents !!

I have a couple of Walker bay boats; a 10’ and an 8’, not easy to transport but nearly indestructible & very rugged.
