Re:  did i order the right prop..?

Hi to all:) and just a quick update as to my high RPM problem,,, well i was at my boat today and determined to get to the bottom of this issue.. I took apart the throttle cable linkage from the carb and pushed my throttle at the helm to full throttle, then i push with my finger the carb throttle arm till all 4barrels opened and what i found was the plastic linkage that threads on to the end of the throttle cable and connects to the carb has a half inch more travel then the carb linkage arm.. Which is the reason i have high rpms when im just a 1/4 throttle from idle.. My carb throttle arm is actually at half throttle.... Now question is how to fix that issue?

in this pic the throttle is wide open and also on the carb all 4 barrels wide open...my finger is pushing the carb throttle arm wide open...

Speaking generically the throttle cable is probably threaded at both ends and adjustable possibly at both ends for proper throw.

no other adjustments that i could see,,,im gonna have to trim a flat piece of metal to add on to the end of the plastic piece... i will figure something out... thanks..plus i have dual helm and both throttles have the same travel and i don't wanna start messing with them individually and really mess things up..
