Re: compression test

Sounds to me like you have a fuel issue.Possibly the only issue is that you dont know how to start it.Thats not meant to be smart. These older motors have a "sequence"that must be followed or you can crank till the cows come home. They need LOTS of gas to get going cold. What you want to do is 1)prime the bulb firm.2)if you have a fast idle lever, lift it up. Or if you can give 1/4 throttle w/out putting in gear,do it.3)Push the enricher/choke in.Might have to choke a few times, but the rule is if you think to yourself"this motor HAS to be flooded!" give a bit more and it`ll fire.Of course this will only help IF you dont have another issue like dirty carbs, bad fuel pump, etc.this only starts your motor if youve got good copression, good fuel flow and good spark.Someone will chime in with a better way to start,im sure.Just remember LOTS of gas!hope it helps .

Re: compression test

If i have bypassed the quick disconect on the fuel line of the engine could it mess with starting... Or flooding... Becouse that quick disconnect did have a check valve... I dunno...
