I've been a lurker on this site for a few years now and have gained a wealth of knowledge on other projects I've worked on but took one on now that has me a little confused. Backstory- I have a 1994 Lowe V-bass fishing boat equipped with a 2004 90hp etec. Early last year I had a deadshort in the old cobbled up wiring that caused just catastrophic damage. Basically ruined every piece of wire in the boat including the engine wire harness( which I paid a dealer to replace) To date I?ve basically gutted all the wiring which was basically untraceable and came out in gobs of plastic and copper and started by replacing all the switches and boat harness with one of those premade deals from ezacdc, which by the way seems like a pretty good deal for making the job easier. Now here is where my questions start. I ordered a new MWS harness with Systemcheck from evinrude to replace the old and burnt pre 1995 harness that was in place.
1:I want to replace the ignition switch but not sure what to get. I am not familiar with this new MWS system. Is there an ignition switch that will be easier to hookup or plug and play with the new wire system?
2: A new throttle control is not in the budget at this time will I have issues wiring that with the MWS system
3: I would also like to replace all the gauges including the systemcheck what do you guys recommend for decent gauges that won't break the bank
4: Any other issues I may run into that I haven't thought about that you guys with more experience might know about

Thanks for the info! Somehow I have missed that while searching. So my question now is can I write my old throttle to the new system or am i better off getting a new throttle that will plug and play with the mws
