What colors will I need to make Cherry Red besides red? I'm actually not sure if its cherry red or not. Its a slightly darker color of red. I have pure red, but don't know what to mix with it to get into the darker shades of red. I uploaded a picture of what SPECTRUM used for my model of boat for that year.

I would take a sample to a custom paint shop that is well versed in matching faded boat colors, boats are one of the most difficult things in the world to paint match.

If its Gelcoat then start with 'Neutral gelcoat'..some red, black, yellow and purple. Not sure on the purp. There are two standard yellows too. One is red-yellow the other green-yellow. You obviously want the red-yellow.

There are a few different reds as well. I have one that looks close to that. But its kinda impossible to tell without our monitors being color synced to the swatch.

First of all "RED" is the costliest color of any color to buy. Matching is really difficult because of so many reds and shades of reds. You didn't mention the type of paint or gel coat you were going to use. Personally I would spray a primer coat on a totally prepped hull and shoot acrylic Enamels with a hardener on next with whatever color you want. You can even have an auto paint shop match your color and apply that. If you are going for Gel Coat, it is going to get a lot harder to match and cure to the correct shade... You didn't state what you are painting or Gel Coating or even if this is a total refinish job or a mere touch up match. JMHO!
