Basically someone who set the spread to get equal number of people to put bets on each side. Is it at all possible that so many people thought Bama was going to win that they had to make the spread extra big to get people to put money on the Sooners! :rockon:

Might even be likely. Not a gambler myself but I know it would have taken an important spread to induce anyone to bet on Oklahoma before that game. I thought Bama was a prohibitive favorite. Don't know when I've enjoyed a game so much.

Hopefully, this is the last UCLA fans need to hear about Mora going to Texas.

This is not a slight on Mora even though it sounds like it, but, seriously, Texas has to be getting a little desperate if they're talking about guys like Mora. Kind of a big fall off from Gruden, Harbaugh, Saban, etc. that Texans consider their birthright.

Texas isn't going to get anyone as good as Mora. Not going to happen. They never had a chance at Gruden(not that good anyway), Harbaugh and Saban. Texas has delusional fans. They should never have fired Mack until they had someone lined up.


You have to realize what we had before to see why we want to keep Mora. He totally turned UCLA around and made it fun going to UCLA football games again. He is an incredible recruiter. There were many alumni at UCLA that didn't want him in the first place. They all changed their tune now.

Oh I know how good Mora is, that's why I was making the point that I wasn't slighting him. My point is that Jim isn't necessarily a "Big Name" like the ones I mentioned and like the Horn fans are dreaming about. And I don't think he'd do well putting up with the Texas crap which is why they are going to have a problem finding a coach. Not a lot of guys who want to deal with the side issues. Mack was ideal for them because he reveled in that stuff.

Not sure where the Ohio State defense is ... they showed up on a couple plays and have a safety and an interception, but they need the offense to do more than 3 and out ... Mizzou v OK State about what I was expecting ... Penguins won ...

Well, I get to see the second half. Been at my daughters B-ball game. I see OSU is ahead. Not a fan, but they are part of the Big10. Go Buckeyes!!!!!

UCLA basketball fans are very similar to Texas football fans. They think they can get anyone these days and they can't.

I think that applies to a lot of fan bases. I just checked in at Shaggy Bevo a little while ago and they're all fired up about Gruden taking the job again. Pretty much a sure thing as far as I could tell.
