Agree that the targeting call was a bad one...

Hoot of a game! Waited all day and wasn't let down....this time.

I must admit that I kept expecting Nebraska to implode down the stretch. They have done a good job of doing that all year, and loosing the heart breakers (what, 7 games by a total of 31 points?). Nice to see the B1G win one.

And to think I picked UCLA. I went with my head instead of my heart. Look what that got me.....

UCLA didn't show up.

Not sure why the OC wasn't calling pass plays to start the second half. Nebraska was shutting down the run but couldn't defend the pass.

Officiating was bad on both sides of the ball but they were still way better than typical Pac12 refs.

UCLA had me worried in the 1st half. I thought,..... here we go again, 21-7 but I think someone handed Riley Osborne's old play book. Tied at the half and I had a glimmer of hope.

The worst of the ACC officials got a paycheck, Husker's coaches didn't.

If you are commenting on the targeting, here is a good explanation. I didn't think it was a good call but after reading this, I think it was.

And I agree there should have been a facemask on the fumble.

Nebraska had a good game plan. UCLA has had problems with the run all year.

There were a ton of Nebraska holds that didn't get called so things evened out.

Bottom line, the officiating didn't decide the game.

The bowl games are a fun distraction from life for us kids. Just need to figure out how to not be distracted at work tomorrow.

The game was closer than the reporters depict. I wasn't sure until the final knee. UCLA kicked Nebraska's rumps in the 2 previous home/homes.

Back when I lived in Tempe, AZ, N was coming to play ASU. I told co-workers for days how ASU was in for a whooping. ASU 19-0 if I remember correctly.

Fun to be on the winning side for 1 day yesterday.

I will need to work on my picks. Have worked hard to find my entry in a tie for last place.

Does the tie breaker work for last place?

Louisville held on, barely. They did everything to give it away.

Now, c'mon Badgers!!!!!!!!!

I was hoping Louisville would give it away ... and inspite of having a touchdown voided because an official somehow saw a runner step out of bounds, Wisconsin pulled off the win.

Well there is no longer a need for a tie breaker at the bottom.

Stayed up to watch the 2nd half of the Holiday Bowl. Wisconsin pulled it out in a hard fought battle. I had picked USC.:embarassed::lol:

Got the big playoff games today, the Cotton and Orange bowls.

TCU quarterback and Heisman contender Trevone Boykin got his butt put in jail early this morning. After curfew he went out partying and ended up in the paddy wagon after allegedly assaulting an officer following a bar brawl in San Antonio. He is suspended along with teammate Preston Miller. :tsk:

TCU and Clemson coaches must be furious. I'm sure the players realize they blew it......
