I hope OSU wins, but hope John does well in the loss ;-)

What chaos...Bama is #1...nothing has changed...:D:laugh:

actually with #2,3,4 all going down in the same weekend really shakes things up a bit.
2, 3 & 4 don't seem to have been punished to badly. Michigan stayed at #3 in the playoff rankings. I guess Iowa must be a top 25 team at least.

That doesn't make much sense, how does one lose a game and doesn't drop in the rankings? Something appears to be flawed....

Because they only have one loss. If you notice, all the one loss teams are grouped together at the top of the rankings. When they get dropped by OSU, they will drop a lot.

At least they will drop behind Penn State, who Michigan soundly thrashed and also has 2 losses (however, that was a different Penn State team ... would like to see the outcome if they played today ... it would be a much closer game, I am sure).

I kinda doubt they would drop beyond Penn State. Same reason Clemson did not drop below Louisville.
I say they will drop below if PSU wins out because it is 2 losses in the last 4 weeks of the season. That always get you penalized more ...

Then how come Clemson is ranked ahead of Louisville?

Not only will Michigan not end up behind Penn State, they will stay ahead of Wisconsin as well.

One loss in the last half of the Season can be forgiven, but historically 2 losses at the end of the season hurts real bad in the rankings. If MI losses to Ohio State (especially since they are on #2 QB) they will drop to 8-10. Just my prediction.

And PSU has 2 very bad teams to end the season which hurts their SOS. Michigan's SOS gets better.

No argument there. Understand, I think PSU is ranked too high this year. They have improved greatly from the beginning of the season, but they are still a very young team. I am not saying they SHOULD be ranked higher, just saying based on my perception of what has happened to schools in the past, you get penalized more for losses at the end of the year than you do at the beginning ...

Wow ... Did Loiusville get spanked, or what? Jackson made a lot of mistakes in the 26 point loss to Houston. Another top 5 loss ... What drama will unfold on Saturday?

Loisville loss is not surprising to me. Tom Herman had a couple big, huge hiccups with SMU and Navy but he has a very well coached team. I believe Clemson also is not as good as their ranking, too bad South Carolina isn't stronger this year.

Jake, I agree, but the surprise is the 26 point deficit and they way Houston did it. Jackson had something like 26 carries for 33 yards (of course about a dozen of those carries were sacks) and a lost fumble. He was below 50% in passing 20-43 I believe. Houston just held Louisville in check and beat up on them for all but the 3rd quarter. I also don't think Clemson is as good as they are billed. But the flip side of that is the only team that really seems to be head and shoulders above the rest is Alabama, and they have shown some weaknesses as well. Except for Alabama, there hasn't been the dominate team this year. And that makes it a fun year for College football!

In the second quarter of the Houston game Houston successfully ran two trick plays that led to 14 points. A trick punt and a double pass. I tend to discount those points to some degree. Houston defense was incredible and surprising.

Personally I think the buckeyes, if they show up, would stand best against alabama.

I think either osu or UM could play with them. Osu more so because I feel their offense is better. We will see on the 26th
