My guess is they got a chance to read the 80+ page report prepared by the university investigators. I haven't read it and seriously doubt I will. What I've read about it on the GopherHole message board is depressing enough.

My guess is they were strong armed by the U of M,...

The loss of revenue for the collage and the big 10 would have been huge,...

Yeah ... paid gifts from Bowl sponsors okay, as long as the player doesn't take more than the gift ...someone needs remedial math class ...

I guess it's the reason NCAA ends in two A's - Represents their double standards.

Two Penn Staters have been suspended for the Rose Bowl - WR Blacknall and LB Bowen for violating team rules. Bowen will be a big loss to the defense and Blacknall could hurt the offense. From a homer paper - http://www.centredaily.com/sports/co...123389579.html

Arkansas shopping habits don't seem to be hurting them - Leading 24-0 at halftime over the Hokies.

Darn....I changed a few picks second guessing myself. Would have had three extra wins. And four if SC had won in overtime.

My guess is Blacknall and Bowen missed a meeting or event because in one of the press conferences Coach Franklin made a comment that they were "there to have fun, but to also work and they were there to do everything together ... if it is to be at Disney we will all be there. If it is to be at a team meeting, we will al be there."

My GUESS is the two boys played hooky from something ...

Probably, 'speck. They usually don't say why, not that it matters.

The Hokies sure turned things around from down 24-0 at halftime to shutting down the Razorbacks in the 2nd half and scoring 35 unanswered points to win 35-24.

Mind blown....how did Arkansas lose? I turned the game off and the welder on to practice. Get done and they blew it???? Sure thought I had made the right pic on that one, was patting myself on the back at halftime.

VT just whooped up on them in the 2nd half. Shut 'em down. Turnovers helped - 3 INTs tossed by Razorbacks.

Well, PSU beat USC in the Rose Bowl ... beef eating contest at Lawry's Steak House.:hungry: PSU players downed 536lbs of beef while USC came in at only 502lbs. That is a 34 point, er pound, margin! That is A LOT of beef! :director: :cheer2::yo::first:
