Re: COLD....

M.W.-
You guys stole all our winter weather this year. It is a balmy 70 degrees today. You need to jump on one of those cheap flights on JET BLUE and take a trip down to New Orleans for some speckled trout chasing.
Wishing you warmth... :)

Coldest winter in recent memory here also. Just think Mello only about three more months of this weather :( But the summers here are worth the trade off.(I guess)

------------
Flathead

Re: COLD....

Definetly the coldest Jan in recent memory. We hit a beautiful 19 F today, not expected to go above 16 until Sat then a balmy 24 is the forcasted high. I personally would prefer a little warmer temps, say 30-34. As it stands we aren't seeing much more than a dusting of snow. Without this snow the lake levels will continue to drop and I won't be able to reach my favorite fishing holes.

Re: COLD....

Yah, no better here...cold, lakes froze good, BUT NO SNOW!!! how is an off season boat wrench supposed to ditch work an go snowmobilin with NO SNOW??? People still draggin boats into the shop in JANUARY for repair cause there is NO SNOW!!! Usually I have enough 'winter work' to keep me busy [transom jobs, refits, building powerheads an gearcases for inventory] but this year I got regular seasonal work too! if it finally does SNOW I am gonna feel real bad about playin hookie [LOL]...Guess I been hangin around the farmers and the fishermen tooo long, startin to whine like em...LOL.....Really, I had a good day today, was boring and sleeving nicom V6's, built a powerhead for a 225 promax, and started assembly on a 2.5 200....all with few interuptions, which always helps....

Re: COLD....

Actually saw a boat on the mighty Ohio River last week. Driving to work for daylight shift, bout 0630, that's 6:30am for mech's, and Rt. 7 goes fairly close to the river in a couple spots. Driving and listening to John Boy and Billy and glanced over at the river and saw a bow and stern light no more than 18' apart. Damn near went off the road lookin' and tryin' to figer out what idiot would be on the river at 7 degrees above. I got some die hard fishermen that come into the shop but I was just blown away with someone being on the river that early when it was so cold. Does the term "Die Hard Fisherman" fit this?

OBJim

Re: COLD....

Dang wacked out weather. In the 70's one day and supose to drop to the low 20's the next. My nuts don't know if they should suck up or drop down. If they don't suck up by tomorrow nite, they'll probably freeze off. Probably will make the wife happy tho.

Re: COLD....

Heard it is gonna turn colder here. Looking at my desktop weather icon it states 38 and to me that is cold enough. From what I understand Friday should be the coldest day we have had in something like 30 years and we may get some of that white stuff to go with it. I guess it would be nice to see but I don't want to lose a day only to have to make it up when the weather is nice and warm.
