Anyone, Why can't I detect a coil problem with a continuity test?? Had one dead cylinder, switched coils around. Still have a dead cylinder, but is opposite one.
You can test the resistance.<br />It's not a sure-shot test, but can tell you<br />if the coil is open or has shorted windings.<br />It should read 5-12 OHMS. It sounds like you narrowed it down to the coil.
