Coil adjustments

Hi guys I have a 1982 15hp evinrude and I’m about to replace coil and trigger that’s under the flywheel, just wondering how do I get the correct gap between the parts and flywheel cheers

Those parts are very reliable.----Did they test bad ?------Look carefully how they mount.-----Perhaps you can scribe a line to install the new parts correctly in the same position.

There is a special tool to align the parts. Same tool can be used on the Universal Magneto coils.
