yeah, but I envy you guys that have much more to choose from in fresh water. All we have are trout in our lakes and salmon in some rivers. I've never even seen a bass, catfish, crappie, pike or any other freshwater fish you can catch. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side! By the way, me and my wife went for a drive today to a community where whales come right in to the beach after small bait fish called caplin. See the pictures, we were a bit far from the beach but there were four or five whales coming in pretty close.I admire you guys that live near the sea and have access to things us freshwater guys can't have.
George street can be fun but the next day is rough. There is some awesome scenery around here. Here's a few pics, you can see an iceberg off shore behind the islands in one,Just saw Petty Harbour on somebody's the list of 10 prettiest towns in Canada.----But I have to visit that area one day.----Spend some time on George Street and enjoy some fiddling and local music.
If you ever do, you need to do a bit of planning. NL is a big place and you can't do it all from one area. Also the weather in May, June and early July is pretty terrible.Would love to make it to that area to fish and take in the scenery … someday …
