Can anyone tell me how to get the model and year of a Cobalt boat? I have no paperwork. Thank you.

Or post a picture of it, we can narrow it down pretty well there, too.

Welcome to iboats!

The bad news is that with no paperwork, it may be difficult or impossible to get the boat titled and registered.

He didn't post a state or country, so it's really hard to tell. Some states yes, some states no. This almost as arbitrary as saying "Since it's a used boat, you might want to check the stringers and transom".

With NO paperwork? In Somalia, maybe.

OP, please post photos of the exterior and engine bay, engine specs, and any hull/transom numbers that may be visible so the board can chime in.

Meanwhile, I would recommend you get the same info to Cobalt. They are insanely good at responding quickly and in detail, and keep immaculate books and records. They may come in handy if you have zero documentation.

... he'd need at least a bill of sale here in TN. And we don't title boats.

It's a good suggestion to get your legal ownership sorted out first.

Same answers he got elsewhere that he posted. I think he is okay now... We tried.

Thanks Mr. Bum. Now can you tell me what the HIN is? I'm new at this stuff.
