A friend had a similar vintage bluefin, believe it was rated for 90 hp.

You could try contacting Brunswick ( they bought out bluefin in about 1990).

They are the only source for a new rating placard.
If they can help you, you will need to provide the hull id number.

I can't imagine being able to put a 85 powerhead onto a 50 midsection.

Find yourself an early 90's Merc 90hp.

I got a replacement plate for a Monark boat I had. I contacted the company and just needed the hull id number and I found the old information on their website about the boat capacities. I also know that some states will make a replacement for you also contact the local game and fish dept.

I got a replacement for my missing plate from www.custommaringlabels.com. Just fill in the correct data and they will send you a new one. It is a quality plate that looks factory correct.

I have virtually the same boat mine reads
5 persons or 625 pounds
1200 pounds max people, gas, supplies
85 horse power max

Do you have to have one? I dont on my 1972 180 sea-ray. I dont have one on the boat but i know from the sea ray site that i can put up to 135 on it.
