I have a 1989 3.0 in a larson. Merc 2 bbl carb with the 90 degree accelerator pump. I am rebuilding the carb but I did not see 2 things in the bottom of the accelerator pump cylinder. No screen and no check ball. There is a very small area towards the rear of the cylinder where it looks like a ball might be? I have the rebuild kit and do not know if I need the ball and more importantly how does it get installed.
So.. Where should the ball be? Should I have one? How is it installed?
