And the most neat hour meter I've ever seen, true analog with a second hand

Probably better served in the correct I/O forum

Agree, but this is concerning a boat I wish to disassemble

It is a sterndrive. Mercruiser brand and has a newer vintage long block in place

MCM 260, GM 5.7L with appropriate mc-1 style (model) drive and transom assembly

Boat is 1982 formula/thunderbird 20 SC with a really cool hour meter

I've driven it once, bobbery at idle and getting on step but quite lively on plane, almost fun! Kind of a shame to dump the boat but that motor! Mmmmmmmm

Motor rehab is better served in the motor forum.

Boat hull, interior & etc rehab @ Resto Forum.

Cross link the topics

Moved to Mercruiser

This isn't a repair issue, I have full knowledge of any issues present with the mcm package

My plan is to remove the engine/running gear from the boat, snag a couple other neat parts and ditch the boat

Figured original forum was better suited than a repair forum.

This thread needs pictures
Agreed, video will help too

Been so busy keeping the customers boating my free time is spent moving fast or not dealing with boats at all

If I get antsy sitting here I'll head to the shop and snap a couple pics

I do like the thought of folks imagining the view in their minds but that only lasts so long

hey man, as long as the tunes are solid people can listen to their sweet jams as the boat sinks

If it's a true 880 roller block, that is much much later than 1982.

Just my opinion.....Lots of work to salvage the boat for a $500 motor/drive assembly and a few gauges
