Any suggestions on how to clean this up?

When I pulled these off my boat, two of the five had some bad oxidation underneath. I took a wire cap brush to one of them which works ok however can anyone recommend some alternate methods? Thanks

I agree with jas, soda blaster would make quick work of it and leave the best finish.

I don't think there's a chemical cleaner that will clean that much oxidation and pitting. You could try this, sold at Lowe's, I would recommend using a Brass wheel and not a steel one. Much easier on the aluminum.

I'd have to agree with the media or sand blasting option. Then maybe some aluminum jelly. But in all honesty unless you are willing to put in some long hours of elbow grease and some different types of sanding papers, that is about all you could do. You can make they look new for maybe twice the price of new ones...
