Cleaning carpet Question

The previous owner of the boat I bought this summer spilled oil on the carpet back by the gas tank fill area. Any idea on how to get this out? It is about a one foot circle right on the outside of the back lift where the batteries and gas tank are.

Take it to a Laundromat and wash it in BIG horizontal washer. Use soap, NOT gasoline. May take 2 or 3 times. Has worked.

Try some "Afta". You can get at Home Depot. But do not use to much at one time (or it will eat your carpet) and blot up with paper towels.

Use some Castrol Superclean or Spray-9. Both are excellent degreasers, and won't hurt the carpet. Use them in cunjunction with a soft brush
