I don't want to open any sort of Ford/Chevy can of worms or anything, but let's say...what are the most popular brands of hitches?

I'm looking to buy a 2005 or 06 Chev. Impala and need to look into this first. I've always used U Haul myself and have been satisfied and pleased with the results & performance. I have them (Class 2) now on a 96 Lumina and an 02 Impala.

I don't do any intense towing, mostly a 4x8 utility trailer and a boat trailer with a 14' aluminum Starcraft and 20 hp outboard. Just thought I'd research the options first.

I think the Hidden Hitch ones look the nicest.

whatever is cheapest, fits, and looks the best. I like curt mfg hitches just because they have better exhaust clearance for my particular car.

In all reality its a chunk of metal. If it does its job I"m happy!

I'll second that. I've also found them to come with good instructions and to fit very well. I've bought them from J.C. Whitney.

Definitely Hidden Hitch!! It took me longer to see how I wanted to route my wiring than it did to install the hitch on a Pacifica. Kit came with everything I needed including these cool bolt wires so you can thread the bolts through the frame and used all the existing openings. No drilling required and the fit was perfect.

I will admit I went with a genuine Mopar Class 3 hitch for my Pacifica.;)

My truck came with the GM factory class 4 hitch system, and I've not found a better aftermarket system, IDK if they make one for the impala, but if they do, that's what i'd go with.

I've bought Curt, Reese and hidden hitch. I usually go onto etrailer.com and look around. Pricing is good and they ship to your door. Spend $150 and shipping is 99 cents.

Have a DrawTite right now on our '02 Blazer, but about to change it to a Curt. None of the other major hitch manufacturers, DrawTite, Reese, Hidden Hitch, have a hitch rated anywhere near my Blazer's rated tow capacity of 5200#....only Curt does. It won't be the prettiest one----the Hidden Hitch probably is the best looking----but I'd rather, for the same money, get all the capacity available, looks be damned.

I'm using a Hidden Hitch too. Hands down the best looking and functioning hitch out there.

Never heard of them. My Hidden Hitch was made in Canada, which is better than in china however not as good as being made in America. If I'd a known about B&W hitches, I would have put one on my truck.

They make them here in the town that I live in. Nice units. They also make a turnover hitch ball for trucks. NICE products !!!!!!!!!
