Re: clanton help !!!

I can do it without removing head, pack a lot of grease on drill and tap, to pickup shavings, than tape a small hose on vacuum cleaner and vacuum up what few shavings fell in cylinder. Numbers should be on top of cylinder on pluf that looks like freeze plug. I have book that will give year.

Re: clanton help !!!

thanks for the heli-coil tips, that makes it a lot easier. As for the #s the only thing that looks like a freeze plug is a silver plug on the lower side of the bottom cylinder. those #s are 7524 on top and 11027 below that. the other #s i noticed are on a plate with 4 screws sort of rectangular on the top side of the cylinders (one plate for each cylinder)about 1 1/2"x3". those #s are 202527-1 and 202527-2.
