Chrysler temp gauge - sender part number

I'm trying to add a nos Chrysler temperature gauge to my boat instead of the original temp warning buzzer.

Does anyone know the part number of the temp sensor which screws into the head of my Chrysler outboard?

According to the 559HF model# he gave earlier I think It's a 73

I have no idea where to get that part# ?

I'd just put in a bigger buzzer or a horn from a motorcycle or car.
When driving a boat, Myself, I'd get sea sick looking at the dash.

If you do install a different horn? the wiring, it can be installed backwards.

My outboard is 557hf -1973 Chrysler 55hp. It came with temp switch and I am looking for the temp sensor.

I am not sure if a temp sensor was ever used on the 55hp models. I am hoping one of you experts can clarify this. I do know temp sensors were used on some of the larger 70-135 hp models. Maybe the sensor used on the larger models is a std part that will also work on my 55hp.

I prefer an OEM part if it exists however as a last resort, Iwould consider adapting a non oem sensor if someone knows the spec part # which is compatible with my gauge.

I have a 70hp
'79 model,
has a home made looking sensor so no numbers
just a tube filled with "epoxy"
dunno what is holding it to the block,
not gunna try and remove it to see,
can of worms etc

Since my last post, I have determined the original temp switch design is significantly different than the optional temperature sensor. The original switch is basically a threaded stud which screws into the top of the head. I have included a picture of it for reference.

I have also since located the original Chrysler temperature gauge mounting instructions. However surprisingly it does not include the part number of the temp sensor. But I was able to learn that the optional temp sensor screws into the water jacket on top of the head which is blocked with a pipe plug.

Based on that I can tell what type of thread the sensor has and I will purchase one off of eBay tonight. I will confirm the calibration is correct using my wife's digital cooking thermometer on top of the stove when she's not home.

Ultimately, my plan is to have a full set of Chrysler gauges in the dash of my old boat.

If you buy a kit that includes the gauge and sending unit??
Then you don't need a Chrysler specific part.
It should work to the gauge not the motor.

Be careful removing the plug on top of the motor.
They can be really hard to remove.

thought it was homemade coz the end was off centre,
