Chrysler motor shuts down

I'm thinking about buying a 20hp Chrysler motor but when you take it out on the water it runs great for about 10 minutes and then just shuts down. If you let it set for about 10 minutes it will start and then do the same thing.

Any idea how much it would cost to fix or if it's even worth fixing? If so would parts be hard to find for it? thanks

It could be a lot of problems, Kybuck. Is it overheating? Vent closed on the fuel tank? Does it get spark when it refuses to run? More info needed before any repair estimates could be made.

The same thing happened to me with my Model 2003 Chrysler 20. It was not primed right. The primer bulb was not hard and I had to re prime again. After that the motor run well. Also check for overheating...is water coming from the idle relief in the middle of the leg? Can you hold your hand over the head (please wet your hand before)? Has the head changed in color? Is the idle mixture adjusted?
