Chrysler 70 need parts

I have a chrysler 70 outboard model 707he built in 1972 I think just picked it up was told it sat for 10 years but it fired right up. I am trying to find the cover for the lower gear case were the prop shaft comes out but can't find anyone that stocks parts for this old of one, does anyone know if the cover off another year or model will fit? Or do I have to try jbweld it lol

I think you mean the bearring cage that you need.

All cages from 2 piece gear case from 3 and 4 cylinder Chryslers will fit.
From 1966 up until about 1978-79 I beleave.

Franz Marine or Ebay are the sources.

Franz may have new ones but also used, Ebay most of parts are used.
