i have a 55 hp ob , how would i find out the year?

You will need to post the model number. It should be located somewhere around the carburator on a stamped plate. The number will look like 557HC or similar. Post the model number and someone shoudl be able to help you.

I have checked the motor and found that the model number ws 55722

It looks like your motor is a 1967 canadian model. Is this motor a tiller drive with no electric start?

, no its a short shaft with electric stsrt, but no generator.<br /><br />thanx
