Just bought a new Courier 300 with the 318 and Chrysler 300 outdrive. Can't find a manual nor any reference on how to remove said components. Any ideas or at least order of component removal?
Removing due to the boat having turned to dust. Thanks, Dave.

what is your intention with the ancient relic?

you realize you bought a boat with a motor/drive combo that is more obsolete than OMC. there is near zero parts availability

being that old, I guarantee that since the boat is shot, you could simply cut the boat away from the motor and drive so you can take them to the salvage yard.

unless your intention is to spend $10k-$14k rebuilding the boat
$3000 hull restoration
$3000 interior restoration
$4000 buying complete used mercruiser or volvo motor and long-tail.....
.....or spend $8k rebuilding the motor and drive you have

BTW, if you started with a boat say only 20-25 years old, it would have cost you the same amount of money to buy and would save you from spending the $4k on a different motor/drive

Hey Scott, good to hear I purchased a rare gem. My intentions are to remove engine, drive and anything else of possible value and deliver the carcass to the local landfill. (for $38 they make it disappear)

The motor runs great and the drive shifts FNR smoothly. Do you suggest cutting away the transom and removing engine etc as a unit?

If you could have seen the refuse drivers bow in awed silence as the Courier 300 took its place amongst the fetid excess atop Mount Trashmore (Coopersville)...........Is there a classified section?

There is a pristine Chrysler 300 drive on display at the Wisconsin Automotive Museum in Hartford, Wisconsin along with some antique and prototype marine drive systems plus outboard motors.
