Chrysler 105

Hello, I'm totally new to boating. I am restoring a 60's speed boat. It origanilly had an outboard motor which from google research , looks like its a chrysler 105 .
From photos attached , can someone please confirm if it's a 105? And can you please suggest me a good site that might give me a good chance to find one for sale?
1st photo is of the actual boat in 1969. Motor was lost.

The motor in first picture appears to be a 75 / 85 HP model.

The Chrysler conqueror 105 came with a 105 outboard. The Chrysler 105 OB actually was only about 90HP at the prop. So if you have a Conqueror 105 then you need a 105 OB

Can find some OB on a few facebook pages Chrysler Boats and Marine, Chrysler the best outboard ever and a few others

I noticed , the short bolt word is on the far side of the motor. And this is the closest photo I can find. Are they rare in US?

Thats very helpfull. Thanks. I will look for any signs / prints to see if its a conqueror. The boat is 4.5mts long

Sort of rare because there are not that many left. I have a 105 which came on the boat, but the block was cracked so I replaced it with a 125, some day I'll finish the boat (been 8 years)

4.5mts (14.7ft) is about right. Spec list as 14.83ft so that's what it should be

Chrysler motors are not rare in my opinion.----They are simpler motors which os a feature that some folks like.----Dealers may not help you.----Many parts can be ordered at Mercury dealers if you present the part #

Get the best points and condensers available, reeds too. Also redo all the old wiring in the stator. I struggled with an ol' 105 years ago. It had a slight bog coming out of the hole at wide open throttle. Good motor once we figured it out. I think that pig had a burn rate of 9 gallons per hour at wide open throttle but it would idle all day long. Merc bought them and they became Force. They added electronic ignition and had stator nightmares. My buddy still has a 135.

Good to know if a fella was looking for parts. Thanks. First time I seen the cowl off a Force I just knew I was looking at a Chrysler. Still looked the same as it it did in the 60's. My 105 really did run good after a couple seasons of fighting it. It may have been more like 12gph before hand. lol
