Chrome and paint

I had to get a set of taller valve covers so they would fit over my new roller rockers. So I ran all the usual places and came up with these from Summit for 27 bucks. To cheap to pass up on them and not really caring what they look like I bought them. Now I am thinking I want to paint them metal-flake black to match the rest of my motor. Is there a good way to make paint stick to chrome?

Before you go to all the trouble painting them, put them on and see if they will clear the manifolds and risers. DAMHIKT
