Re: Christmas Comes Earlier Every Year . . .
Now that Thanksgiving has passed, I guess it is OK to start with Christmas decorations, etc.
My crew did not waste any time. Not long after the leftover turkey hit the refrigerator, the crew wanted me to set up the Christmas tree so they could decorate it. I think this is a family record for earliest Christmas tree.
My part of the fun was trying out the new LED lights that I bought at Costco last week. I got a few strings that are 'color selectable' (White only, Color, Alternating white/color). We decided that the LED strings should be 'color' and there are a couple strings of traditional white lights. The LED colors seem very true, quite an improvement over the LED strings that I have seen in the past few years.
If the LED strings work out, I plan on getting a few each year. The prices have come down nicely - 100 light strings are now about $13-$15 at Costco.
Of course, I still have numerous strings of the traditional incandescent mini-lights. I used to spend hours and hours fixing the strings each year, replacing bulbs galore. Recently, I gave up fixing lights strings unless there are only a few bad lights. I think I'll just replace the 'bad' strings each year with LED strings until I am at 100% LED. :thumb:
