I am getting ready to rig up steering and throttle. Need to determine seat height, is there a rule of thumb for this? Planning on using a Binnacle mount throttle, I think that what was on it when I bought it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

At the height you have it set up now, the steering wheel will be way too low and your knees will hit it.

Here is how I have mine set up.

How do you see over the cuddly cabin. I have never owned a boat with a cuddly cabin on it.

Adjust seat height so you look through the upper windshield, if need be you can stand up too when docking and need more perspective.

That makes sense, with it sitting on the trailer I don’t think I am getting an accurate perspective vs being on the water.

With it way up in the air like that, you could easily end up in the drink if hit by a wave. Keep the seating surface below the gunnel.

typical boat seat height is 18-20" higher than that if you have a foot rest

if set as a leaning post, then 30" to the top of the folding bolster.
