I've been a Ram fan for years, 2500s... Just wanted something different. I like the Chevs current interiors better than Ram. Chevs are digital. Dash goes black when the truck is shut down.. I can change the look to whatever I want, theres a bunch of options..

Back around 03 I bought a 98 Dodge 1500 quad cab 4x4. I had it for about 4 years I think. It was a nice truck, I never had any problems with it, other than I had to replace the thermostat at one point. It got the same MPG as my V-10 Ford, (12-12.5 on a good day, unladen) but, towing anything with it was a joke. It struggled just towing 2 jet skis. When we got rid of that, the wife got a Toyota Sequoia. 5 years old, 100k miles on it, and I gotta say in the 8 years we had it, we had very few problems with it. I can count them on 1 hand. After that we got the Silverado. We got it 8 years ago, 5 years old 100k miles on it (noticing a pattern? LOL) and I can't say the same for it as I can the 'Yota. Although we haven't had any problems with it since we moved to ID, the list is pretty long for the previous 5 years. The drivetrain, engine, trans, diff are as good as anything, IMO, but, the electrical gremlins and a couple other things, not so much. I like the truck, I like the looks of it. The grille kinda reminds of the '72 Chevy that I had way back in the day. We've talked about getting rid of it for a mid sized SUV like an Explorer, but, IDK it's still in pretty good shape, paid for, and probably still has a lot of miles left it it. I think it's at about 215k at the moment.

I got rid of the 5.9 dually of 2006 vintage. Miss her but my 96 f150 does what little i need a truck to do and really could do without it. I do my handyman stuff out of my 2014 2.0 diesel sportwagen and on a bad day pulling the trailer i get 35 mpg on a good day 50+. Good for my current life.
