My uncle just gave me my christmas gift. Its a 7ft medium action Cheerywood rod. I used his once and loved it, have you guys had expirience with these? seems soooooo light for its size.

Re: cherrywood

I have two, great rods and they come from WalMart. Its hard to imagine they can make a rod like that for what they cost. I wont give the price away.

Merry Christmas!!

I've got a couple, one spinning, one baitcasting - got mine at BassPro, our walmarts don't carry 'em. Fine rods, hands down the best value, I'd buy another without hesitation.

Re: cherrywood

how are they as far as durability....I have used a few Ugly Sticks, and I know the cherrywood isnt at all like them. Seems and feels fragile, but should be a great rod. cant wait to use it

Re: cherrywood

I broke the tip off one...my 7 footer is now 6'10" - wacked the side of the boat with it, with a 3/4 oz. slab tied on...made a clean break. would've broke most rods I guess. new tip, good as new.
