If someone can help I am chasing an electrical Ghost

I have had this boat and engine for 10 years with no real problem, the other day power trim would not work while running, stopped to fish and then no power at all, no engine crank, no trim, even the fuel gage was not responding.

Checked connections to the battery still nothing anchored and floating. Was about to call for help when the engine cranks and trim comes back to life.

I have cleaned and polished all the power and ground connections, replaced the kill switch and the ignition switch, everything seemed ok, then exactly the same problem, dead it the water, no power, played with the ignition switch a couple times and suddenly it all works again.

Take it back to the dock and loose all power again, Now i can put a voltmeter on the problem, I measure six volts across the fuse on the motor that sends power to the ignition switch, 12 volts on the battery, I had another charged battery handy and put it in, same results, put the orignal battery back, now everything is working again and 12 volts across the fuse to ignition??

I put a jumper wire from the fuse box to the power on the igniton switch, thinking that I had a bad wire between engine and switch, everything seemed to be working fine, my son took the boat out and all was working when he put it on the beach fo a while and went to leave, everything dead again and I get the cell phone call. I left a jumper wire in the boat now that this had happened twice and had him go from the battery to the starter solenoid, the engine started right up and he brought it in, when he got to the dock everything was working again.......

I can't trace this problem because it vanishes everythime i get the boat back to a tool box, any suggestions would be great!!!

I had a simliar problem.

Turn Key nothing no gas gauge, no firing nohing notta.

First we used a high end hot checker and when we hit the red wire behind key with power bango she worked.

We jiggled every wire and connection (With motor running) untill we could find one that failed after being disturbed.

My problem was resolved when the fuse at the upper right was crimped a little tighter. (It has a red wire comming out of it in the pic)
