My 1986 85hp Chrysler/Force has developed a fuel pressure and leakage issue, put a new rebuild kit in the fuel pump, replaced the primer bulb and it still wants to die at idle. Anything at speed and it will run perfect all day! Fuel leaks somewhere around the fuel pump, just can't pinpoint it. I did not get the gasket for the strainer cover in the kit I bought.

You could install a clear inline fuel filter between the pump and the carbs.....not so much for filtering but to give a visual that the pump is working...something like a Fram G2 or similar.....
