Changing Points

How do I go about changing points in a mercury outboard? I have changed the spark plugs and also just decided as part of this tune up that I should change the points. It is 1980 50 HP Mercury Outboard

You list no.. Make, model or year. Some do not have points. More information is needed!

Yours doesn't have points. I'd suspect (by your other posts) that you have a misbehaving switch box.
