If you have read any of my posts thus far, it should be clear I am a newbie and this forum has been a huge help so here I go again. I need to replace one of the navigation bulbs on my boat and thought if I removed the single screw at the base the top would come off and i could do so but it didn't and I wasn't comfortable enough to pry on it.

How do I remove the cover of the red or green navigation light to change the bulb?

Thanks yet again!

With the screw out of the aft of the light with a little force and prying the lense should come . Inspect between the cover and base to see if there is a small notch to pry at.

Thanks for the help. I did find a small notch to pry the cover off. It appears the bulb is a sealed unit (can anyone confirm that?). I removed the base from the boat and checked the wiring connections which were all fine so I am assuming a bad bulb.

After the cover removed you may need to twist the lense as to take a bottle cap off, it is removable.Probably stuck from age. May need to try a little pry action.
