Based on the aeration of the old lube I am assuming that you ran the boat just prior to changing the lube.That would be normal.I always remove the lower fill plug 1st and slowly remove the vent plug shortly after paying special attention to what immediately comes out of the lower fill plug.Water will come out first if any exists and if the boat sat for a few days before the change. CharlieI took the vent screw off first, and it kinda shot off like there was lots of pressure and then when the oil came out, i just thought it looked odd. Photo 1 is the old lube coming out, photo 2 is the new lube
