The feasability of this depends greatly on the year and model of OMC drive involved. Do you have a particular boat in mind? If so give the year and other particulars of what you have.

'bout Anything is Possible,... As long as you throw enough Cash at it....

That swap works Best when you remove Anything remotely related to the OMC installation,...
Then replace it with the driveline of your Choice....

Most times just better off selling the boat and buying one with the drive package you desire. 'nutcase

If you are wanting to change an OMC Cobra to something else, yes, that is easy.
If you are wanting to change an OMC stringer setup to something else, that's a whole different ballgame, and usally not worth the the time and expense.

I called SEI and they state you have to use GEN 2 drives only. What model or year is that?

You can also install a Volvo SX/DPS type drive on there without changing the transom shield. No more Shift interrupt system and a DP drive that will really change how your boat gets on plane and goes. Volvo even makes a converstion
