Cellular PVC decking

I tried searching to find some info on replacing soft decking with cellular pvc. A buddy of mine used some pvc 1x6's on his gunwale and it worked out great. I was going to use a 4x8 sheet to replace the decking seeing as though it does not rot or anything like that. Any input on this?

Welcome to iboats.

Cellular PVC is not structural and I would not use it on a deck of a boat. There are issues related but not designed for the boat.
