I currently have CDI MEDS engine diagnostic systems and my distributor has a deal going on where i can upgrade to a Sierra Stats system that can supposedly do more than my CDI system that is several years old. Does anyone have experience with both of these systems or in particular the Sierra Stats that can give me some feedback. Thank you.

I also need to purchase some software. Have you already ruled out RInda Diacom? Is your CDI up to date and how well do you like it for outboards? Is it read only?

I am fairly happy with the CDI system, the only obstacle that i have encountered is updating the Evinrude ECU with new software, it doesnt do it. But for general troubleshooting/maintence it has been good. I only use it for Evinrude, Mercury/mercruiser, and an occational suzuki. I have the factory Honda and Yamaha systems.
