CD boxes and coils

What are the differences between the black CD boxes and coils and the blue CD boxes and coils?

I do not think there are no difference in them, but not 100% sure.
The black are older the blue newer.
I have seen engines mixed with black and blue and both CD boxes and ignition coils.
Maybe jerryjerry, topgun, forcepower or other guys with experience in these engines will chime in.

Nordin has it backwards, the black is the newer blue is the older.
The difference is the black is the "Improved" model.
Your not supposed to mix the colors but they seem to work if you do.
The only difference I saw is the connectors are different.
