Wish my cat was that loyal. All he ever wants is food. Glad the dog owner is trying to do the right thing. Be a better world if more folks would take responsibility for their actions/mistakes/animals etc... That cat deserves tuna, treats or anything else it wants for a long time.

funny I looked at your avatar next to your post and it looks like your dog is checking over his shoulder looking for a baaaaad kitty. LOL

I like the way this story is shaping up in every respect. Good dog owner, honest mistake, unbelievably awesome cat. Caught it first on the news last night and recorded it. Go Super Kitty!

Have always had dogs, just got the first cat last year. Bandit is a good cat, for a cat that is but no way a dog. After he goes to the great litter box in the sky many years from now, I won't replace him. I will remember the half dozen times he noticed I was around and wanted his belly rubbed

I once had a cat that actually stalked dogs. She discovered this talent when she had kittens and a neighborhood dog fancied them.:)

My cat does that to my 2 Boxers. Funny to watch 2 full grown dogs running from a cat that's only about 1/4 the size of one of them.

Funny to watch
yep, it was funny to watch. i tried to get a dog. that was the first sign i had a dog hating cat. poor little puppy. my attack cat stalked that poor dog 24/7. he'd get up high and get over to the dog then pounce on it. the dog would escape, and the cat would do it all over again. over and over. i ended up having to give up the dog, the cat was there first. the cat, Apollo, is now attacking dogs in cat heaven. he lived to 15 years old. he was unique and i've never had another one like him.
the cat in the video looks like it was protecting its human. i only saw Apollo do that to protect his friend Ziggy (another one of my passed on cats). but apparently it's not far fetched for them (cats) to do that kind of behavior. interesting imho.

Cats are way smarter than I previously gave them credit for.

There is a large difference between dogs and cats....

The Cat's Diary
Day 983 of My Captivity
My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.
The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet. Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates my capabilities. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a "good little hunter" I am.
Bastards!
There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.
Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow, but at the top of the stairs.
I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released, and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded. The bird must be an informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now ...
