I have water in the bottom of my boat (and in the bottom hull) that is rotting stringers and lower wood areas. The floor itself is bonded well to the foam and very strong and stiff, except for the areas that leak due to a lousy repair job the former owner did. So far I have cut out about a 2 x 3' floor section around the ski well to expose stringer rot.

I hate to disturb the floor/foam integrity, so why couldn't I clean out the rotted stringers (which look like channels through the foam), and pour seacast foam into the stringer volume? I could pack it in using a board. This assumes I get most of the water out, of course. My goal is to get at least 4 more years out of this 1984 4Winns.

Also, do you guys know what kind of wood the floor is if I tell you it is a reddish plywood?
