While stumbling around on the interweb I came across this little gadget and thought I'd give it a try, so I ordered some and they came in yesterday.
They're Scotch-Brite Surface Conditioning Pads and holder for my 4 1/2" angle grinder, the pads are held to the holder with a hook and loop design.
Man! Let me tell you these things are Great!!! They're at least 4 times faster than the wire cup brush and don't have any little wires to fly off and stick into your clothes. They take paint and carpet glue off like it is butter!
The different color pads are different grits. The brown is very coarse and would be good for the most stubborn carpet glue and grinding down glass hulls. The maroon is the one I'm using the most and it's a medium grit. The blue is a fine grit and I'll go over what I've done with the maroon with it.
The price for the holder is $20-$25 depending where you buy it and the pads are about $3.50 each, compared to the $15 cup brushes for my grinder they're a bargain.
My only regret with buying these tools is I didn't find them sooner.
