Guys, I need help identifying which year and horsepower model the carburetors installed on my 75 horse 3 cylinder came from. They sure aren't the ones that were originally installed on it in 1968.

The carbs have 2 numbers 316061 - 3 and WB9D -11

I have ruled out the 1968 75 horse, the 1972/1973 70 horse, and the 1975 ~ 1980 70, 75, 85, and 90 horse models by looking on Boats.net. I want to find the model these were originally installed so I can order parts for it.

Thanks in advance!

Post pics of the carb with a ruler in the picture.
Measure the throat in and out and the float bowl.

What parts do you need?

99% of the time a carb just needs a good cleaning.
The jets need to be clear.
A welders tip cleaner does a great job.
The tip cleaners each little cleaner has burr on it.
Don't go too aggressive in the soft brass.

If?? the residue is real bad a soak might be needed?
Just make sure the needle and seat the rubber isn't damaged by the soak.

Thanks Guys, I spoke with Franz yesterday and he did not have a "carb to model reference". He can go the other way as in "model to carb", but needs to know the model first.

I need to know the "sea-level" jetting so that I don't run this outboard lean. The factory parts listing for the 1968 "75 horse" has ".70" jets these carbs have 64's, but I know they are not original carbs. Knowing the correct model and year will allow me to get those jetting numbers.

I found this just a few minutes ago, but still don't know the year -

Gordon the WB-9A, WB-9B and WB-9D are jetted the same BUT from the factory service manual (1969-84) they are for the 85Hp.

Sea level - 1500 ft 0,064
1500 ft - 3000 ft 0,062
3000 ft - 4500 ft 0,060
4500 ft - 6000 ft 0,058
6000 ft - above 0,056

Send me a PM I have a chart for jetting the carbs, depending on which sea level you are.
It includes which typ of carbs are installed on all 3-4 cyl. and model number BUT only for 1969-84.

To test the jets:
Run the motor up to temp, then run the boat wide open for 5min.
Then turn the key off.
Don't throttle back or slow down, just shut it off.

Pull the plugs and check the color of the burn.
If there is any light burn color???
Then it's jetted to lean.
