Carb. runs dry.

My 2008 4.3 GL-J carb. looses its prime after 2 weeks sitting. Is the bowl draining for some reason. I have to squirt wd40 in carb and it cranks right up. I never hear the fuel pump run when I turn on the ignition. The choke works fine. It will crank right up the rest of the day. Its a Holly 2300 2 BBL. Thanks for your advice.

Probably a bad diode
Look at the fuel pump relay for 2 diodes. One comes from the key with a yellow/red wire attached. The other comes from the ALT with a green wire.

I don't have a J diagram but here is the E
Number 25 is the relay and below it are the diodes

The di0des seem good. Is there a check valve in the fuel pump?
Don't kow of a check valve but there is a antisiphone valve on the top of tak which the rubber fuel line is attached. If it's clogged it will stop fuel

Do the diodes test high resistance in one way and low and no resistance the other way?

Is ther a check valve on the fuel pump of a 4.3GL-J to keep carb. from draining fuel from bowl over 2 days time?

yes , diodes check good. I dont see a antisiphone valve on my tank. I get fuel when the pump runs.
