carb help please

I have a 1993 larson 220 hampton I just bought in april. I did all preseason maint. boat ran fine for a month but a little on the rich side.( choke was sticking). fixed the choke put a bottle of seafoam in to clean it up. now the boat won't plane off. upon further reveiw the carb is not even a marine carb. the gasket kit in the carb is for a different carb could this be my problem.

Ayuh,... Sounds like you need the Right carb...

Most if not all automotive carbs are not legal for marine use. Also they are designed and set up for cars which have different fuel needs due to smog requirements and timing advance curves.

A replacement marine card may just do the trick.

Replace the carb and get the correct gasket, then start from there.
