carb gas leak

I have an 85 hp force 1989. Carbs rebuilt 1 year ago. Sat outside over winter ; when I pressurize the bulb gas comes out overflow holes, also when running lowest cab overflowing gas. I assume stuck float or needle?? Any ideas?

Or could be a misadjusted float or a hole in the flloat. With carb upside down the very bottom of the float should be 1/2 inch to the very bottom of the carb. Remember this is with carb upside down. If it is set greater then 1/2 inch the float may not allow enough pressure to seat tne needle

Try gently tapping on the carb bowl and see if that frees up the float/needle...Still might want to pull it off and check it out, though...
