Carb flooding while running 5.7

Carbs been rebuilt on a 5.7 boat starts but floods out. Tried carb on another boat, ran fine. Can a fuel pump give more presure than the carb can handle? Unknown mechanic replaced fuel pump. This is when the problem started, then he replaced carb.

Fuel pump leaking past diaphram, going into clear tube to carb.

With the minimum informtation you have posted, that's the best I can come up with.
