Caravelle boats wood free?

I have a nice 1998 model 209. I read that caravelle switched to wood free construction at some point. The model 207 was called out as such.

Anyone know if the 209s or any other information available of when the switch was made? It would give me peace of mind knowing I didn't have to freak out so much if any water gets in.

in 2003, they started advertising nida-core

in 1995 they started a new managment team that began about 1998 designing with Nida-Core for the 2003 model years

as indicated in the 2003 issue of Boating life

chances are your 1998 boat is not Nida-Core

Correct. They were all wood-free by 2004.
